CHÂTEAU DE GRAND-PRÉ
The Domaine du Château de Grand Pré is a family vineyard of 8 hectares, north of Beaujolais, located in the communes of Fleurie and Villié Morgon. The vines are cultivated there with the greatest respect for the environment according to the rules of Organic Agriculture.
On hillsides exposed to the rising sun, the estate produces wines made from the expressive grape variety of the region, Gamay noir à jus blanc. The plots of vines, grouped around the castle, have an average age of 60 years and take root in granite subsoils on the Fleurie side and crumbly schist for the Morgon. Soil work is essential to allow the terroir to give all its character to the wines. In order to preserve the fruitiness of the berries and the maximum aromas, the harvest is selective. The hand-picked grapes are vinified in a traditional Beaujolais way.
The goal of the Zordans: to create harmonious, authentic and seductive wines, wines of pleasure.
